| Fever was the first
of my creations. When I was released from the hospital my symptoms were
still quite severe. My thought process was affected by my inability to access
parts of my brain. I had difficulty speaking and formulating sentences and
had suffered some short and long term memory loss. As soon as I was able
to leave the house I went out into the woods near our home and collected
some wild thorn vines which I then wove into a sculpture representing the
damage to my brain caused by the fever.
